I agree, I always look forward to reading your comments Es, you come across as a very caring and sincere person. By the way I also enjoy your sense of humour.

es needs a thread...i've noticed she's been in the dumps and seems to think no one really notices.
well, time for that crap to stop.. you need to know you make a difference, just by putting in your two cents on any given subject here you make me crack a little grin, and i know i''m not the only one.
to say no one really notices is to berate the contribution you make as well as so many others.

all dressed up for door to door work..
She just likes showing the world how delightful Jehovah God created her!!!!
i was talking to an inactive jw and she said she was loaded with guilt and dread, thinking she might be destroyed at armageddon.
i have no such feelings.
how about you?
As a j dub yes. Now no.
(I can fully relate to your post damselfly.)
i say it was j.r. rutherford and i sum up my reason in one word as follows;
greed
greed for power and money.
For me Judge Rutherford was the most corrupt, however the presidents that followed all copied Rutherfords example.

young people ask .
.do i need a mobile phone?related topics:what's so wrong with telephone sex?you are connectedhow?
It's articles like this one that would always irritate me. They just hate it when they can't control what people do in there own time.
the last few months have been really tough for me there have been many problems with my fiances family and even with my fiance for that fact.
although things are fine now, im not happy i cant seem to get excited bout life.
im getting married in nov, going to be trying for baby no 2 going to fiji in feb....so you see i have lots to be excited bout but im just not.
Wow, getting married, planning on having another child and going on a overseas holiday, now that's a lot of stress for anyone to deal with. It sounds like you need a little time to yourself to relax and be pampered.
You need to laugh so you should go and rent for yourself a good comedy movie or go to the movie theatre, I'm sure the posters here could recommend a few good comedies to cheer you up!!
if ray franz had been lying in anything he said in both of his books, c of c and in search of christian freedom, surely the wtbts would have sued him.
why did they take no legal action against him?.
could it be that this legalistic corportion realised he had lied about nothing?
You can't sue a person if they are telling the truth!!
...............or so i thought.
when you were an active jw, how did you feel when ppl accused you of being a cult !!!!!!!!!
and do you think its a cult now your out ?
Thanks undercover you summed up my thoughts exactly.
when i was an active witness it was quite noticeable that when world shattering events took place, such as a disaster, tensions between major nations, war in iraq or events like that of 9/11 the meeting attendance would drastically improve.
this was mainly due to ones whom you rarely saw flocking back because they thought armageddon was coming.
what if this almost impossible scenario occurred.
Yes I think the only ones that would go back are those who left the jw's for all the wrong reasons, those whom never took the time to have a long hard look into the org. I am here speaking of the ones whom walked away maybe only because some brother or sister said something to upset them or some other trivial reason. However for ex jw's like the majority of you great people on this forum whom have done the homework on the org, there can never be any reason to go back.

What if this almost impossible scenario occurred. An announcement is made that the United Nations has made a decision to ban all religions throughout the entire world.
On hearing this announcement some ex jw's might begin to think that the witnesses have got it right after all. So my question is, do you think that many ex jw's would flock back to the organisation, just in case the j dubs have got it right?
